If your lawn care equipment isn't running like it used to and it's time to get it serviced give Salemi's Ace Hardware a call and one of our experienced small engine repair specialists will be more than happy to help diagnose your equipment and service it at one of our locations. Our specialists have obtained Certification from companies such as Stihl to be licensed service technicians for their products.
Equipment servicing comes with a base cost of $37.50 for Stihl products and $75.00* for Hustler, Ariens, Gravely, and Big Dog** lawn mowers. If your equipment is covered by an active warranty and the work performed on it is covered by said warranty this fee will be refunded to you. If your equipment is not under warranty or the services are not covered the fee amount will be deducted from the total cost of the service. Additionally, in certain circumstances, the fee itself may cover the entire cost of servicing the equipment. In cases such as these you will not be billed any additional amount for the services provided. Alternatively, if we perform a diagnostic inspection of your equipment and you choose to not have it repaired by us, the fee will not be refunded.
We also provide select services for EGO Power+ equipment, however because this is a line of electric tools our services are structured differently. We are generally able to offer common replacement parts such as new saw chains, blades, and wheels quickly, but in cases where the electrical components (battery interface, motor controller, etc) of the equipment have been damaged these are parts that must be special ordered from the manufacturer which can add time to the repair process.

* The base service fee for mowers purchased from one of our stores is $75.00. For mowers not purchased from us the fee is $100.00.
** We no longer carry Big Dog mowers, however we are still able to service legacy models that were purchased from one of our locations.

Our services for Stihl equipment start with a diagnostic fee of $37.50 paid upfront when your equipment is dropped off at our shop. Once the issue is identified we will reach out to you to discuss what needs to be done and provide an estimate that covers the cost of parts and labor. If your equipment is covered by a warranty the services will be performed free of charge and your diagnostic fee will be refunded. If your equipment is not under warranty then the fee will be applied to your invoice as a credit. The prices shown in the table below represent labor only. This is a base price and the cost of replacement parts will add to it depending on what needs to be fixed or replaced. The table reflects our most commonly performed services and is not exhaustive, most basic services not listed here will fall into the range shown. You will receive a more complete breakdown of costs following the diagnostic process. "Full Service" on a piece of Stihl equipment includes: checking/replacing the spark plug, fuel filter, air filter, starter rope, primer bulb, fuel line, cleaning the spark arrester, cleaning/adjusting the carburetor, cleaning of the equipment, and a run through of all safety features to ensure proper operation.

Our services for mowers (push or ride-on variety) start with a diagnostic fee of $75.00 paid upfront when your equipment is dropped off at our shop. If the mower was not purchased from one of our locations the fee is $100.00. Once the issue is identified we will reach out to you to discuss what needs to be done and provide an estimate that covers the cost of parts and labor. If your equipment is covered by a warranty the services will be performed free of charge and your diagnostic fee will be refunded. If your equipment is not under warranty then the fee will be applied to your invoice as a credit. The prices shown in the table below represent labor only. "Full Service" on mower equipment includes: oil and filter replacement, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter, battery test, belt inspection, tire pressure check and refill, cleaning of the mower, and a run through of all safety features to ensure proper operation. (The cost of the replacement filters and spark plug is not included in the service due to the expense of these parts having wide variance between models of equipment.)

Salemi's Ace Hardware has partnered with the Texas-based Zelco Oil Company to carry their line of Power Sports Puncture Seal in our stores. This heavy duty tire sealant was formulated with the intention of being used in the extreme conditions of Texas' oil fields and refineries where the product has seen widespread adoption due to its proven efficacy in preventing punctures and flats. Now, this nearly invincible tire sealant is offered as a treatment for your mower tires to provide peace of mind that your equipment can handle anything the terrain ahead throws at it.

Equipment Pickup & Delivery | |||||||||

If your mower has broken down making it difficult to load it onto a truck or trailer to bring to our store we offer a pickup and delivery service where we come to your property to collect the equipment to be serviced. The fee for this service varies by destination in regard to its distance from the store. If your equipment requires both a pickup and a delivery you will only be charged the fee once. Similar to the diagnostic fee, if your equipment is covered by a warranty then the pickup/delivery fee (as well as the cost of services) will be refunded to you upon completion of the services performed.
