Stihl's AK & AP series of rechargeable batteries feature long-lasting power in a compact design. Each battery features an on-board charge indicator and the ability to maintain full voltage until it needs to be recharged. Enhanced technology inside the batteries prevent loss of charge while in storage. These batteries are universally compatible with Stihl equipment that utilizes the AK or AP standards, however certain batteries work better with specific equipment due to the differences in cell capacity and the demands of the equipment being used. (Consult your Stihl owner's manual for the right battery for your tools.)
AK 10: Provides optimal run times for the MSA 60 C-B, MSA 70 C-B, FSA 57, FSA 60 R, HLA 56, HSA 56, BGA 57, and SHA 56.
AK 20: Provides optimal run times for the MSA 120 C-B, FSA 60 R, HLA 56, HTA 50, BGA 57, and SHA 56.
AK 30: The most powerful battery in the homeowner AK System. Provides optimal run times for the MSA 70 C-B, BGA 60, RMA 460, and RMA 460 V.
AP 300 S: The AP series features great battery capacity with long run times, as well as an ideal power-to-weight ratio. Compatible with a wide range of tools, including extended-reach hedge trimmers, pole pruners, chainsaws, and blowers.
AP 500 S: Offers an improved power-to-weight ratio and features 40% more power output and 20% more capacity than the AP 300 S. Compatible with most tools in the AP System, allowing you to easily switch from one job to another.
The chargers listed below are compatible with the batteries above and vary in their features and functions. Options include the rate at which batteries can be charged, the ability to hang/mount onto a wall, cooling fans for long or consecutive charging sessions, charge indication lights, automatic shut off, and cable management features.
AL 101: Designed for the Stihl AK System, the AL 101 charger delivers fast recharge times and a range of additional convenience features. Achieves 80% charge on AK batteries in under an hour. AL 300: Features an onboard cooling fan and bright LED display to indicate current charge level. This smart charger even switches off automatically once your battery is fully charged. For use on equipment with integrated batteries.
AL 301: Updated design includes wall mounting hooks and a cable wrap for easy storage and travel, along with the same great features you already appreciate— LED display, auto shut-off once the battery is charged, and cooling fans for the duration of the charging process.

The batteries and chargers on this page are all compatible with each other, however they are not compatible with other Stihl lines such as the AS series of batteries.
